Taipei, Taiwan. Gorilla Technology, a global leader in video big data and analytics technology, is the official sponsor of the annual International Conference on Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science organized by the Central Police University in Taipei. Gorilla introduced its video intelligence and big data technology and its usefulness to modern criminal investigations.

Forensic scientists from the USA, Israel, Norway, Japan and Hong Kong shared their latest research and case studies. Topics covered industry trends in forensic science, law reforms, the influence of drug related crimes in communities, and explosion investigations.

Leading forensic scientist, Dr. Henry Lee, spoke about the latest high-tech crime trends, the evolution of forensic science, and progress in the justice system. Another key topic was the increase in bomb attacks around the world. This issue was covered in length by Ms. Dana Sonenfel who revealed findings from an explosion investigation carried out in Israel.

“Video technology plays an important role in criminal investigation nowadays,” stated Gorilla Technology CEO Dr. Spincer Koh. He noted: “It is impressive to see the Central Police University adopting innovative technology from an academic and practical perspective to cultivate talent within the forensic science arena.”

Continuous improvements in technology help with the fight against complicated and unpredictable criminal acts to protect the well-being of people. Gorilla is pleased to be a part of this mission and offer the best solutions to conquer these challenges.
