Gorilla Highlights New Solutions, and Showcases Recent Success Stories at Post-NAB Taipei Event

2012/06/15

TAIPEI, Taiwan—On Wednesday June 13th, 2012, Gorilla Technology Group hosted the “Broadcasting and New Media Forum”, a Post-NAB Taipei Event, to share the latest industry trends and showcase newly released Gorilla solutions and business models.

Dr. Spincer Koh, co-founder and CEO of Gorilla Technology Group, discussed and analyzed the short comings of traditional content workflows. Coinciding with the theme of NAB 2012 “The Great Content Shift”, Dr. Koh emphasized the industry implications and shared his vision for the latest trends in content creation and delivery. He explained that these trends have been brought about by new advances in media asset management technology, especially cloud-based technology.

Citing a real industry case, digitalized files can be sent to multiple locations for postproduction, for example creation of multi-language voice-overs simultaneously and immediately, without spending anything on freight. This can save potentially millions of dollars compared to traditional production methods.

As illustrated by recent success cases, Gorilla showcased solutions that create value-adding workflows that are both robust and versatile. Through a centralized management platform offered by Gorilla, content is managed from ingestion through to delivery over an IP network.

Dr. Koh also highlighted that Gorilla’s solutions are not limited to applications in the traditional broadcasting field as content can be repurposed and/or monetized for both professional and “semi-professional” media usage in other industries.

Gorilla also provided live demonstrations of its recently updated content management platform “Essence Manager”, the newly debuted “Media Operations Control Center” dashboard (monitoring and control platform), “Story Cut Editor” (web-based video editing tool for pre-and-post production), and “Gorilla Content Server” (content delivery via an IP network platform).

“Keeping close tabs on the latest developments in content management, Gorilla continues to provide the broadcasting industry with robust and leading technology that is designed to integrate with existing solutions,” said Dr. Spincer Koh, CEO of Gorilla Technology Group. “Gorilla’s newest solution packages such as ‘Gorilla Re-purposing Platform’ provide more flexibility for work collaboration and creativity within Gorilla’s non-linear workflows. In line with today’s latest trends, Gorilla is answering the needs of organizations in the broader enterprise market too as they are looking for ways to make the most of their growing volumes of video-based content.”
